AI’s clients include companies of all size including John Deere, Hallmark, Cards, Goodyear, Datamark and others.
I learned about AI in 2004, when I relocated the manufacturing operation of my art reproduction company, Brushstrokes Fine Art to a 72,000-square-foot facility in Juarez, Mexico with 80 employees. The move helped me reduce costs so I could supply art to IKEA stores world wide.
I initially considered moving operations to China. However, I decided on Mexico because of its proximity to the U.S. market and its record of respecting intellectual property.
American Industries provides a turnkey service. They handle plan staffing, import and export of materials and finished product, and legal and regulatory matters. Operational cost savings for North American companies can range as high as 40%.
While American companies have been operating in Mexico for 30 years, very few Canadian companies are aware of Mexico´s competitive advantages. With the recent steep rise in the value of the Canadian dollar, the opportunity seemed right for NAI.
I would be pleased to talk with any YPO members who are interested in learning more about the Mexican manufacturing advantage. Call me at 905-771-5805 or email mwine@naig.ca |
